Commission Painting and Pricing

Yes, I do take commissions.

Infantry are $15 a model, regardless of size, up to 32mm round base.
Large Infantry and Cavalry are $30 a model, up to 50mm round base.
Extra Large Infantry are $45 a model, up to 60mm round base.
Vehicles are based on size:
$150 for 40k dread sized (60mm base)
$200 for 40k Rhino chassis or similar, smaller fliers (Storm Talon)
$400 for 40k Land Raider, larger fliers (Storm Raven).
Forge World and Collossals - prices vary

These prices include all assembly and basing. If you already have models assembled, primed, or want to do the basing yourself, please contact me and we can talk about reducing the price.

What you get for your money - models will be cleaned of any mold lines and flash, assembled, primed, painted, based, and matte varnished for protection. Will always be beyond the 3 color minimum for tournaments, and will include the little details that we all want. I will paint an army for you that I would be proud to play with myself. I will do custom color schemes, as well as traditional "from the book" schemes. I only have one level, and that is fully painted.

About Me

I paint models and have been doing it since I was 12. Over the years I have learned tons of tricks and painted loads of models. I have ran a very successful Miniatures studio, and owned a Retail Game Store. After closing those, I decided to get a little smaller with the operation and I am back to a one man show.

Titan Completed!

So the Armorcast Revenant Titan has been finished.

I chose to stick with a Biel Tan Color Scheme, as the grey/green/black provides a real striking color pattern. I decided to keep embellishment to a minimum, instead letting the clean lines and colors do all the talking on the model. I did choose to add some vining onto the leg of the model, as most Biel Tan vehicles have. I kept it to one leg, as not to clutter the model. I hand painted the Biel Tan symbol onto the cockpit. All of the spirit stones were painted in blues, and after the whole model was matt varnished, a liberal coat of gloss varnish was applied to them.

All in all, I am happy with the way the whole thing came out. Hopefully Charlie will see fit to let me paint his other one.

Saturdays Painting Binge

So after a severe ass kicking at the hands of Chris Johnson at Talon's on Friday night, I came home and decided to get a crap-ton of painting done on Saturday.

Caleb's Seraph

Caleb's Swordsmen (6)

Nasir's Devastator

Nasir's Kodiak

Don't know about you, but this looks like an awful lot of ass kickin' on one table.......

And Johnson passed off someof the new Chaos Knights (plastic) and Marauder Horsemen (plastic) to be painted and thrown in his case! Man those are some bad ass models. A pain the the butt to put together (13 pieces for 1 knight!) but man are they prerry!

So a week recap of what I have painted this week -
Revenant Titan Legs
Ironfang Pikemen (8)
Kodiak
Devastator
Winter Guard (6)
Swordsmen (6)
Seraph
Rangers (6)
Thorn

Holy crap, that is a tone of models! Lols, and I am complaining because I am thinking I ma not getting enough paint time.

Rangers, Winterguard , and Thorn

Okay, so a productive week so far. Re-assembled Nasirs Kodiak and Devastator (Last of his Khador warjacks), and put the scabards back on Calebs Legion Swordsmen, and re-pinned the Seraph. Got these all based and ready to be primed.

I have been able to get:

Shanes Cygnar Rangers completed

Shanes Cygnar Thorn completed

Nasir's Khador Winterguard completed

Charlies Revenant's legs completed (have to finish off the vines!)

And my Ironfang Pikemen for the Challenge completed!

Tonight, I will be prepping about 45 Space Marines to be painted on Saturday for Ebay! Can we say mordian base, azurman wash and then detail work = Hello Ultramarines!
I'll post a step by step on the blog for quick and easy Space Marines!
I willalso be repairing my Blitzer and prepping it for paint. I will try to get the Blitzer and the other unit of Champions done so I can be ready for my very first WM/H tournament!

Cygnar Rangers - Da Cunnin' Plan

Okay, so the Cygnar Rangers are pretty cool looking models. I have used a technique to provide snipers with ghillie suits in the past, and have a plan to do the same here.

A ghillie suit is a type of camouflage clothing designed to resemble heavy foliage. Typically, it is a net or cloth garment covered in loose strips of cloth or twine, sometimes even made to look like leaves and twigs. Snipers may wear a ghillie suit to blend into their surroundings when they feel it is important for them to camouflage and hide themselves from enemies or their targets.

Ranger with sand glued to cloak

So, pre primer, I will glue some minor amounts of modelling sand to the outside of the cloaks the rangers are wearing. I'll use a paperclip to basically draw "lines" on the cloack and then apply the sand. Key here is to not over do it. 1 or 2 short lengths of sand. Snot Green will be used for the cloak base, washed with Thraka Green and the sand will be tan (snakebite) then washed with the brown (sepia) wash. After the entire model is dry, I will apply a few small patches of static grass to the cloak, giving the whole model a very "earthy" feel. Couple that with the basing, and Shane just may loose these guys on a table somewhere!

Final Effect - a 28mm ghillie suit!

Armorcast Eldar Revanant Titan for Charlie

Okay, so I picked up the Titan I am to paint for Charlie. It is the old Armor cast ones. Kind of stuck on paint schemes, but I am really favoring a Biel Tan Color scheme for this guy!

Ironfang Pikeman is by the foot to illustrate the size!

Here is the first leg painted.I still need to add the green highlights, and paint the vines onto the leg.

After matte varnishing, I will go back over the gems with gloss varnish.

Challenge week 2 - Updated!

Mike's Challenge Army!
Faction: Trollbloods

Okay so paint time was split between Saturday and Sunday this time. 3 hours on Saturday yielded a Painted Axer and 2 more Scribes! Sunday brought some base coating to the Ironfang Pikemen. I should have those done next weekend. Due to some stuff at home, I was only able to log 1 hour on Sunday. Sheesh, and I have a ton of stuff to paint this week too!

So I have almost 1/2 of my Army painted in the 11 of 56 hours of allotted paint time for the Challenge. I was able to pick up the 2 long Riders I need for the unit, plus the Dire Troll Mauler and Trollkin Champs! Next week is going to be fun, because I start on an Armorcast Titan and plus set out to finish Nasirs (2 Khador warjacks, and Winterguard) and Calebs (Legion Swordsmen and Seraph) stuff, plus Thorn and Rangers for Shane!
