Commission Painting and Pricing

Yes, I do take commissions.

Infantry are $15 a model, regardless of size, up to 32mm round base.
Large Infantry and Cavalry are $30 a model, up to 50mm round base.
Extra Large Infantry are $45 a model, up to 60mm round base.
Vehicles are based on size:
$150 for 40k dread sized (60mm base)
$200 for 40k Rhino chassis or similar, smaller fliers (Storm Talon)
$400 for 40k Land Raider, larger fliers (Storm Raven).
Forge World and Collossals - prices vary

These prices include all assembly and basing. If you already have models assembled, primed, or want to do the basing yourself, please contact me and we can talk about reducing the price.

What you get for your money - models will be cleaned of any mold lines and flash, assembled, primed, painted, based, and matte varnished for protection. Will always be beyond the 3 color minimum for tournaments, and will include the little details that we all want. I will paint an army for you that I would be proud to play with myself. I will do custom color schemes, as well as traditional "from the book" schemes. I only have one level, and that is fully painted.

About Me

I paint models and have been doing it since I was 12. Over the years I have learned tons of tricks and painted loads of models. I have ran a very successful Miniatures studio, and owned a Retail Game Store. After closing those, I decided to get a little smaller with the operation and I am back to a one man show.

Ah, the joys of having a gaming wife......

Okay, so because of my ever busy work/school/life schedule, the wife and I have been talking about her gaming with me again.  A long time ago, she was the proud owner of a very large Dark Angels army that only ever saw the light of day on the garage gaming tables.  Needless to say, after the store, that army went away, but here we are again, talking of resurrecting a Dark Angels army for her.  Putting together a Deathwing/Ravenwing Strike Force list was pretty fun, and it will have very little in the way of model count, but will be bike/landspeeder/terminator heavy.  To get the painting juices flowing on the army, I through together a little painting walk through for the Guardians of the Covenant Dark Angels Successor Chapter.  Looking forward to Rich Van Meter's update.  He is using my walk through for space wolves to lay down his base coats and will be bumping his models to level 2/3 soon!

Step 1

Boltgun metal (GW) base
Step 2

Repaint robes with Red Gore (GW), Chaos Black (GW) to the shoulder pads, Brassy Brass (VGC) to select icons
Step 3

Wash the entire model with Badab Black (GW)
Step 4

Pick out the belt ropes and other details in Jack Bone (P3)
Step 4

Wash the bone with Gryphonne Sepia (GW)

Using the principles I set out in my previous post - used a limited color palette and gouped my colors by what could be washed all at one time.  Total paint time on these 5 models was about 10 minutes.  So if I were block painting a unit of 10 Marines, I would have these done in probably less than 30 minutes

Mike, I really like the look of your Dark Angels. Never thought of them or saw them in a "Boltgun" base before. Really cool. I hope we can get a game in when I'm back in the Spring.
